Periodic Maintenance (PM) service is very important to keep your lift truck in safe operating condition. If you raise the hood on your forklift and it looks like the pic below, you should call me for service immediately.
Periodic maintenance and inspection on your electric forklift is just as important due to the high amount of amperage that can flow through the electrical system. The picture below is an example of a worn contactor I found on an inspection. Notice the burnt tips and the black where it has been getting extremely hot. If this contactor was to stick, the machine could become a runaway and cause significant damage or injury.
As you can see below, some of these unit get pretty in depth with the electrical systems. This is why periodic inspections are necessary to prevent a costly repair.
